Although Carlisle United haven't officially announced prices for the Carling Cup third round match against Portsmouth, information from the South coast is that seats will be £20 for adults, £14 seniors, £10 for 11-17 year olds, £4 for under 11s, with under 7s getting in for free.
These prices are the same as for a league match, but without the £2 discount for advance purchase. This will disappoint many fans who were hoping for reduced prices to encourage a big crowd.
Under competition rules the clubs have to agree to the prices, with home and away fans being charged the same.
Carlisle manager Greg Abbott was unhappy with the performance of some of his players in last night's JPT game against Morecambe.
Carlisle needed a penalty shoot-out to defeat the League Two minnows, and Abbott felt that some of the fringe players who had been given a chance in the game failed to perform on the night.
Graham Kavanagh twice equalised in the match, which finished 2-2. Goalkeeper Adam Collin saved two Morecambe penalties to send Carlisle into the second round.
Carlisle United have been given a home draw against Premier League strugglers Portsmouth in the third round of the Carling Cup.
The match is likely to be played on Tuesday September 22nd

Carlisle United have signed winger Kevan Hurst from Scunthorpe United.
The right sided player could cost as much as £145,000, depending on appearances, which would be a club record fee.
Hurst, whoo will be 24 next week, started his career at Sheffield United, and had loan spells at Boston, Stockport, Chesterfield and Scunthorpe, before making a permanent move to Scunthorpe in 2007 for a fee of £200,000. He's been given the Carlisle number 24 shirt.
